Our Learn Domain is about ensuring that our students can participate in inclusive, flexible learning experiences, with compassionate teaching that promotes successful outcomes and supports mental health and wellbeing.

We will design inclusive learning experiences - including curriculum, tuition, assessment, and induction (managing transitions both into and between levels) – that are accessible, flexible, and support all students to succeed. |

Learn 2 |
We will proactively support students at risk of disengagement by encouraging tutor-student contact, using learning analytics to identify needs, and delivering timely, tailored interventions for positive outcomes. |
Learn 3 |
We will support staff to teach with compassion by embedding policies and guidance that help them identify and respond to sensitive and emotive topics with confidence and care. |
Learn 4 |
We will improve learning and career support resources by regularly reviewing and evaluating how well induction, continuation, progression, and employability tools help students reach their goals. |
Learn 5 |
We will grow our evidence base by actively promoting student and staff mental health and well-being as priority areas for pan-university scholarship and research and by fostering robust approaches to ensure that interventions are designed to deliver measurable impacts. |
Universities transform lives through learning. Higher learning involves challenge and new ways of thinking: it can have a positive impact on a person’s mental health and wellbeing over a lifetime.
However, the way learning is designed, structured and provided may produce a positive or negative experience.
