University Executive Board (UEB)

The University Executive Board (UEB) is the senior executive body responsible for the strategic leadership, operational management, and overall performance of the University. It supports the Vice-Chancellor in delivering the University’s mission, strategy, and objectives.
Authority

The UEB operates under the authority of the Vice-Chancellor and within the framework set by Council. It has delegated authority from the Vice-Chancellor to make decisions on all matters relating to the management of the University, except those reserved to Council or its committees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the University’s strategic plan and priorities
  • Oversee delivery of academic and operational performance, including financial sustainability
  • Allocate resources in line with strategic objectives and the agreed budget
  • Identify and manage institutional risks
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and governance requirements
  • Promote a culture of excellence, inclusion, and innovation
  • Monitor performance against agreed targets and key performance indicators
  • Provide advice and recommendations to Council as required
