The Office of the PVC (Students) is a central point of focus for improving student success and satisfaction within the University. The PVC (Students) works closely with the whole OU community to help students achieve their study goals, whatever these may be. Work is progressing on our 2024-27 priorities:
Quality enhancement is driven through at all levels. At an institutional level our evidence driven priorities are determined by insight gained on the performance and experience of our students through our internal QA/QE processes and by working with our Data and Students Analytics team and the Institute of Educational Technology. We also work closely with the centres for scholarship and innovation based in each faculty:
PVC (Students) has responsibility for Student Outcomes, Employability, Student Satisfaction, the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) and Access, Participation and Success (APS). The portfolio works very closely with the Open University Students’ Association on student voice and student engagement. The Office of the PVC (Students) has responsibility for the University’s Student Charter, developed in partnership with the Students’ Association.
