Academic Regulations

The Academic Regulations apply to directly taught courses at The Open University, including undergraduate or taught postgraduate qualification, standalone modules and apprenticeships.  It also includes regulations relating to the recognition of prior learning (see below).  

Recognition of Prior Learning

The University offers recognition of prior learning through a credit transfer service for students seeking to use credit from previous study towards an Open University qualification. The Qualifications and Assessment Committee is responsible for policy and regulations relating to the recognition of prior learning (RPL) (see Section G of the Academic Regulations (pdf 642kb).
